Are You Active?

ADS

The 2014 Australian and WDSF International Standard & Latin Events require competitors to have an active WDSF ID-Card.

An active WDSF ID-Card is only required for the WDSF competitions, the Adult Open Latin (Saturday) and the Adult Open Standard (Sunday). Competitors who do not have a WDSF ID-Card will not be allowed to compete in either of these events.

All other events require the normal DSA registrations (Recreational, Amateur or Profesional). Overseas competitors must be be registered with their member body and if they intend to compete in either of the WDSF events they too must have an active WDSF ID-Card.

WDSF

Unlike your DSA registration, the WDSF ID-Card is active for 4 years from registration. This means that if you registered to dance in last year's WDSF events then you are still registered.

Not sure if your registration is active? Easy, simply go to the WDSF website CLICK HERE and search for your name.

If you do not have an active WDSF ID-Card then you must apply for one ASAP. The procedure is straight forward starting with an on-line application form on the WDSF website CLICK HERE, and then you will need to send your support documents (Photo, etc) to the CEO of DanceSport Australia who then finalises the procedure.

For more information please visit the WDSF website's ID-Card page CLICK HERE.

NOTE: Only the Open Adult Latin and Standard events require WDSF registration, NOT the Adult A Grade events, these are the 'WDSF SELECTION' events.
